Wordless Wednesday - Butterflies on a Lilac
Our lilac is a late-blooming variety and bursts with fragrance and flowers after all the other lilacs around are finished with their spring displays. This past Sunday we walked by the lilac and noticed three different types butterflies all fluttering among the blooms, sipping nectar. A rare sight indeed!

Oh they are so pretty! I know they smell good too! I love the butterflies. Have you seen any caterpillars? I haven't this year.

I love lilac bushes! They are so pretty and fragrant...wish I had two or three of them in my yard. ;0)
The pictures are so pretty. Wouldn't they make nice postcards or posters? I get to enjoy the smell of lilacs because the neighbor behind us has a couple of bushes.

butterflies are one of my favorite things to see. Gorgeous shots. :)
The number one thing I miss about moving from Indiana to Florida is no lilac bushes. We had a huge one on our farm up north.
