My 1st Tissue Paper Flower

..."These gifts will grow up very fast
As you soon will see
Love them with all your heart
And let them be what they will be."

"When these gifts have fully grown
Look at Heaven up above
Know they exist because of God
And all his precious love."

~Sandra Tolson

This week I received my first tissue paper Mother's Day flower. My daughter proudly handed it to me during her preschool's Mother's Day Mother/Daughter tea party. She asked in her very sweetest voice, "Mommy, do you like it? I picked out the pink paper just for you. My teacher helped me make it."

I think the flower is just perfect, and it is one of those things I'll cherish forever. I'm so grateful for all of my blessings, but being a mother is truly one of the best. My children are an amazing gift from God, and I treasure each and every moment as their mother. Bring on the tissue paper flowers!

Sandra Tolson's wonderful poem reminds me of Psalm 127:3 - "Children are a gift from the Lord" (New International Reader's Version)

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

How adorable! My daughter made one of those a couple years back. This year I got a painted wooden jewelry box with her picture on it. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!
