My husband still bears the scars of his unselfish duty to our country.
While stationed on the USS Samuel Roberts, escorting an oil tanker, they hit a mine. My husband got burned on his arms. He didn't talk about it for many years with me.
Never did he feel anger or bitterness.
Thank you to all of our heros.
