If your kids watch PBS Kids or are just starting to read, you are probably familiar with the character Arthur. Arthur's books and TV show help kids develop a love of reading and writing and encourage positive social skills.
Kids ages 6-12 can now enter the "ARTHUR and All Kids Can Character Search" sponsored by PBS and CVS by drawing a new character for the award-winning PBS KIDS GO! series. The goal of the contest is to help raise disability awareness among children. What a great way to help your kids learn more about disabilities and the importance of respecting and including those that might be different from them! The winner of the contest and their new character will be featured on the ARTHUR PBS show, and the winner will also get to meet the creator of ARTHUR, Marc Brown. Entries must be postmarked by March 31, 2009.
This contest is part of CVS Caremark: All Kids Can, a program that supports non-profit organizations dedicated to helping children. More information about the program and disability awareness can be found at http://www.cvscaremarkallkidscan.com/
